Nutritional Therapy Practitioner
Nutritional Therapy Practitioners take a whole-body approach with foundational, holistic roots to wellness that focuses on the importance of a properly prepared, nutrient-dense, whole food diet paired with a well-balanced lifestyle.
They understand the importance of honoring the body’s own feedback system and its incredible capacity to restore, regenerate, and correct itself — when given the tools and nutrients to do so.
A few things about me…
I’m Heather, a certified Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, homemaker, home educator, and somewhat of a homebody (although I do love a good adventure!) I’m wife to Kenneth, and mama to our sweet, spirited babes, Eloise Grace, Sawyer James, Shepard Cove and Bodhi Christopher! Welcome to my littler corner of the internet, where my hope is to share truth and knowledge to empower you. The Cultivated Root began as a tiny seed back when we were living in Southern California, and my thirst for knowledge needed to be tended too. From there I applied to and have since finished my Masters Degree in Public Health (MPH), but I wanted to learn more about our families health struggles and the reason why so many kids I knew were struggling with their nutrition (picky eaters anyone?) and to top that off, I wanted to know the why of that, so down a rabbit hole of health so to speak I went. As a holistic nutritionist my passion is family centered. I help individuals and families address deficiencies, dysfunction, and dis-ease through a holistic lens and educate on a whole-food, nutrient-dense diet with personalized supplement recommendations as needed.
